Is it odd to crave for someone's presence

Is it odd to crave for someone's presence but not in romantic  way?

You long for their presence because they make you feel different not only about yourself, but the way the moment goes. They would make you realize that sometimes relationship isn't the only answer that would lead you from having that special feeling within yourself.
You don't like them in a romantic way, but you like them because you can be with them. You can be with them even if there are barely people outside the street and you can talk to them about anything. You can be silly or weird around them without worrying what they would think about you. Because you are comfortable around or to be with them.

It is not odd to feel unusual in this matter, perhaps we would learn that those things we yearn for that we thought will be impossible (in reality) would be possible with them. Every moment you spend with them is not wasted. And they are the only person that you can really cherish or seize the moment as each time counts and passes by.
